The Finlay Foundation Awards New Life Home for Women and Children $10,000 Donation
April 4, 2016 – Nashua, NH – The Finlay Foundation, a New Hampshire charitable organization announces that they have awarded $10,000 to the New Life Home for Women and Children for that organization’s Annual New Life Golf Tournament fundraiser.
New Life Home for Women and Children was established in 1977 as a voluntary, residential treatment facility for women who need transformative change- and for their children. New Life Home for Women and Children assists women in healing, growth, and recovery and pursuing GEDs, college or vocational training and career placement. According to their website, the duration of New Life Home’s program is 18-24 months, while the average rehabilitation program lasts just 60-120 days. New Life Home believes that their longer treatment program is more effective in helping women rebuild their lives.
Grace Rosado, a founder and representative of New Life Home for Women and Children said, “Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of our sponsors, donors, participants, and volunteers for… our 7th Annual New Life Golf Tournament!”
“Unlike many residential recovery programs, New Life Home for Women and Children allows and encourages women to bring their children with them in their recovery- a vital offering, since many women will forego treatment if it means leaving their children,” says Finlay Foundation President Karin Finlay. “We admire the good work that New Life Home for Women and Children is doing in the community and are so pleased to grant this award.”
